The litter that is filling our landfills are not a scam, it is the harsh reality and no one wants it to be true, so go green

While recycling is viable, it is not perfect, and recycling alone will not solve the problem. The other steps is reduction of waste and reusing things like containers. Recycling is just one part of the solution and recycling alone will not solve the problem – no matter how trendy it gets.
