I made this for my Population and Environment class, Fall 2006, University of Oregon, Geography Department. Leave a comment, I’d like to know what people think.

ClimateGate

A partial review of the emails shows that in many cases, climate scientists revealed that their own research wasn’t always conclusive. In others, they discussed ways to paper over differences among themselves in order to present a “unified” view on climate change. On at least one occasion, climate scientists were asked to “beef up” conclusions about climate change and extreme weather events because environmental officials in one country were planning a “big public splash.”

This video brought to you by those that would like to see global communism: Its a constant drum beat of feel good BS. I wonder how good its going to feel when our freedom is gone.

If there were ever a thought about regulating human population, then there would have been a lot of male contraceptives on the market (pills, injections, etc,). Perhaps there would be also a pill that makes men seriously attend to their own children.

4. 10gerasim - February 12, 2010

I think It is true that industrial production of food has not eradicated hunger, but affected people in vulnerable economies negatively. It seems that the Earth is still capable to regulate human population. Actually is always did. We will see more pandemics and disasters and wars ahead.

I am going to have a big ass family to repopulate the earth after all the self-hating environmentalists have died by recycling themselves to mother gaia. Environmentalists have no wisdom, 100, 200, 1,000 years ago it seemed impossible for the world to look the way it does now. Well, things just work out and God is in control. All this hysteria is getting ridiculous.

This was geography when? Go back to school and give it to a kid to redo.
Try a little faster and quicker when the first titles come up. Go a little slower when the graphs start. It is hard to read never mind digest the data. A little more info on permaculture. A little less blame for the rich. We are either rich or mostly trying to get that way. Lay off the guilt. Lay on the pleasure of living well on little

7. tidyboyd - February 16, 2010

i see your reasoning but doesnt everyone have a point for being here? some work in mcdonalds some work as astronauts, sorry scratch that

Some work as politicians some work as astronauts, is that not the point?

Would u like every person IQ150 to slave it in maccy d’s?

8. walter0bz - February 19, 2010

I think @tidyboyd
on the flip side, i see many educated dumb people and many sucessful un-educated people

whats your point?

9. tidyboyd - February 19, 2010

I think lol have you heard of education!? obviously not!

most people with a few exclusions arent born stupid.

10. senorlobo1 - February 19, 2010

I think It is morally wrong to dispose of people simply because they do not have a comparable IQ. It is wrong to decimate others in war for the sake of resources.

We are then left with the only alternative; expansion. We go where no man has gone before. Get used to space u’yall.

11. crystaltaylor - February 22, 2010

Thanks for this, I am using it in my Pop. Geo class today

12. walter0bz - February 24, 2010

I think my concept is completely different to hitlers,
his was based on family coherence, exterminating those un-related and maximizing production of those related.

mine has zero connection to any family – purely based on merit.
with ectogenesis, humans are born free of family bias.

13. TheClapAttack - February 25, 2010

yea like breed a master race…

hitler would be so proud of you!

14. walter0bz - February 28, 2010

I think sterilize half the planet based on IQ testing.
too many stupid people over-populating this earth
save resources for machine-evolution
in future humans will be grown to order using ectogenesis – no more dysgenics, no more waste

15. sharkblubber - March 1, 2010

All environmental problems occur as a result of people using resources faster than they replace them. More people makes it even worse. everyone needs to have smaller families through voluntary means for the next few generations to avoid a crisis when oil runs low.

16. JuanVoyce - March 1, 2010

I think We will either depopulate thru war, disease and hunger–or a world govenment will evolve to mandate family size, social darwinism, and death panels. But more importantly–do we have to listen to Moby??

17. tdavies456 - March 3, 2010

good point, sadly we seem to be in the minority, ..most people seem perfectly happy to carry on breeding at the rate we are without thinking about the long-term implications

18. andy765gtr - March 6, 2010

permaculture? is that allotments. sounds a bit of a rosy picture. trouble is they are no where near as efficient at growing stuff as petrochemical fueled agriculture.

we need to seriously reduce the population if we are to grow enough food for ourself with allotment growing, as losses are massive to weeds, pests etc. the population was only about 1 billion before fossil fueled mechanization started. it would have grown to todays number long before mechanization if it was as efficient.

19. YouDoobed - March 8, 2010

It should be called Pollution and Environment.

20. senorlobo1 - March 10, 2010

I think Temporary Sterilization does seem to be the way to go. People cannot be trusted to steward this planet.

The general average IQ is 85-99. In order to grok or understand the impact of population growth on the environment, one must think exponentially. Exponential thinking, as a rule, cannot manifest until one reaches an IQ of 100+. Base emotions or urges come to us all, but are most dominate in humans with average IQs. Girls must have babies and boys must penetrate. Raise IQ and save the planet

21. Turtl3Dov3 - March 12, 2010

I think Why does My Heart Feel So Bad – by Moby

22. Jutas07 - March 14, 2010

what is the name of the first song?

23. 50fatass - March 17, 2010

I think the fat shit eating mcdonalds while people are starving pisses me off

24. Yilmael - March 17, 2010

I think …hahaha…

25. Kusnetzov - March 18, 2010
